(Not So ) Wordless Wednesday

My boys both loved Toy Story when they were little. They could not get enough of Buzz and Sheriff Woody.

So, it will be no surprise to you when I tell you that one of their fondest memories of Halloween was when they both got the chance to dress up as Sheriff Woody.

My mom made them each one of these adorable little cow skin vests like Woody wore.

Howdy, Howdy, Howdy!

Sigh.

My little sheriffs (in photo cut outs).

I entered this picture of Daniel in the Mid South's Fair baby picture contest for the "Three Year Old Boy" category, and he won First Place! He received a blue ribbon, and he and Shannon had to march in a little parade on stage at the fair.

We were so proud of our baby sheriff.;)

Sigh.

  5. Can I just say "THERE'S A SNAKE IN MY BOOT" YEE-HAW!!!
    So adorable!
My Mookie loved Toy Story as well and she is a girl!
We wore out our dvd copy of it. When she "discovered" it they had already stopped selling the toys in stores. But once at a yard sale we found Buzz,Woody and one of those little green aliens. She thought it was Christmas in June. She still has Woody and her name is written on the bottom of his boot!
    Congratulations on first place!!

They sure have a wonderful creative mother!

    He deserved the blue ribbon.

I added a little and edited a little of my Garth post just now.
Sometimes I can't tell how it's going to show up until I click on view blog and meanwhile the rest of the world gets to see what I need to edit. :)

Thanks for being a faithful reader.

  15. Aw, Amy,
What great pictures. Your little sheriffs were so adorable. We loved Toy Story too. We have a costume Woody hat around somewhere in the family, either at my Mom's or sister's or somewhere, and ever so often, that hat shows up on someone's big ol' head when we least expect it! I love that Daniel's picture won 1st place at the fair - yay!
    Love those vests too, Sandra!

  16. Aaahhhh...how cute. I'm sure your heart melts in wonderful memories but with a twinge of sadness for the little cute years gone by. They are no longer cute, remember that mom, they are grown young men so that means no more cuteness but handsomeness.
    Love ya,
    Paula
