A Little Health Update

First of all, I want to thank all of you for your kind words of encouragement and for your prayers.

My Daddy took me to the doctor yesterday. Apparently I have a little issue in my back. All I remember being told was there was something going on between L4 and L5 in my back. I was in so much pain that I did not even ask what that meant, but the doctor then proceeded to send me to a neurology clinic.

The neurologist examined me and made another appointment for me next week. I will be having an MRI done; we don't know the date and time yet.

For now I am just supposed to be resting. As a mom I must tell you that lying around the house all day does not necessarily come naturally to me. I feel so bad not being able to help out around the house. But every time I try to accomplish anything other than resting, my back and leg reminds me that I can't.

I guess I just need to learn how to relax and enjoy all of the tender loving care. Maybe if I get too bored, I'll just have Shannon paint my toenails and feed me bonbons.

I'm just saying is all.:)

I'm so glad to hear you got a diagnosis. Doesn't sound like they gave you any good drugs for the pain until your next appointment. Ugg.

Mia emailed me this morning but I had already been throwing up the prayers to our Father for you since yesterday when I didn't hear from you. Whoops...maybe I should've said lifting up.... :-)

Hey, make sure you share with us a photo of those Shannon-painted toes!!! We'll compare to the photo of your paint job some time ago that you posted. :-)
Love,
Paula

Hey that picture is very familiar to me! We just watched overboard the other night. It's one of our favorite movies! :)

Oh goodness! I guess you didn't get to go see your boyfriend's new movie this weekend either. That's awful, I know how much you were looking forward to it.

Mom and I may go see it next weekend - if you're feeling better maybe you could go with...

Rest and take care of yourself...And I feel certain that, if you asked him to, Shannon absolutely would paint your toenails and feed you bon-bons :)
(and of course, if he does I hope you get a picture...ha!)

I'm just sayin' is all....tee-hee!

Painted toe nails and eating bon bons sounds like the perfect plan. Please keep us posted on how you are feeling...I will continue to pray. I know it is hard to not be up and doing stuff, but please rest and take care of yourself!

Amy, I've been praying and worried sick over you (see, look, now your making me sick because you're sick!). Anyway, please email me or call me and let me know what's up. And what a blessing, so many people love you in blogland and otherwise! But, seriously, please have your momma or you or Shannon just email or call me with specifics. I don't want to wreck your rest. Love you, Wanda

Hello my sweet sister!
It's been too long since we've talked and we have SO much catching up to do.
I'm sorry you are not feeling well! You are in my prayers and I know you'll be up feeling great very soon. And yes....do as your momma says, "Obey the doctor and rest!" :)
I just got home yesterday afternoon and unloaded a ton of stuff from camp and my husband has been remodeling the kitchen. To say that my house is a pit, would be an understatement. We had a dinner at my mom & dad's house last night, today is church and then I'm heading up to OKC to go out to eat to celebrate Kristen's husband's birthday. I don't know when my house will be in order again or when I'll ever get to take time to catch up on my blogging, but in time I will.
I was w/out a computer for a week!
It's tough isn't it?
I am so glad you had such a great trip. I haven't had time to read everything, but the pictures are so beautiful! I can't wait to hear all about it.
I'd better get ready or I'll not make it to church & I really want to go.
You are in my prayers!
Love you & glad you're back safe & sound,
Valerie

well I am late but you know I have been praying and sending good healing thoughts to you! Bed rest is not something I was ever good at either. This is a difficult season friend but I know you will get through it.

I'm so sorry about your back. Back pain is the WORST! I hope you're feeling better soon.

REST my dear friend. You don't want to do any nerve damage. My husband just went through back stuff and it's not fun. So take this time and just rest in the Lord.
Will be praying for you and the doctors to be shown through the MRI what the problem is.
Blessings & hugs,
Lelia

Amy, I'm so sorry for your health trouble. I certainly hope it is not really serious and you will be up and around soon. You are such a sweetheart and I hate you have to be "under the weather". Maybe it is just time for you to rest and be pampered for a little while . . . I will certainly pray for you.

Sorry to hear about your back. Hope everything turns out ok with the MRI. I had the same thing about 6 years ago, but it was with constant headaches. Neuro and MRI showed nothing. I am faithful to the chiropractor now. Let us know how the test goes.
