Just For Laughs

Today's post is just for laughs. I grew up watching "The Carol Burnett Show," and I loved it.

And with the incredible invention of You Tube, I have been able to find some of my favorite episodes, and they are as funny to me today as they were thirty years ago.

So, if you have a few minutes, and you could use a good laugh, sit back and enjoy yourself as you watch Eunice, Ed, Mickey, and Mama play a "friendly" game of charades.

I hope that you enjoy it as much as my family and I do.

Right, Mama?;)

Part 1

Part 2

Psalms 126:2
Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, "The Lord has done great things for them."

Amy,
I was laughing so hard I remember seeing this one. These are just good hometown programs, like Little house on the praire, I Love Lucy, Father Knows Best. These are the ones that fills our hearts with Love, the things we see today on tv are so violent, hateful, revengeful, I could go on.
But thanks for the laugh this morning. One good thing about cable is they show these on certain stations, so we can re-run them.
Have a Blessed day you and your family
Sharon

Thanks for the laugh! I hadn't watched Carol Burnett in years, but the show is as funny as ever.

Hope you're feeling better and getting up and about soon.

Oh, that brought back memories.
I loved that show. Eunice is a hoot! Thanks for sharing and for brightening my day by bringing me a little humor....humor we don't find on tv like that anymore.

My mom used to quote this show all the time when I was growing up. I loved seeing these clips, I'd forgotten how funny it was.

Amy, this is my first time to view your site, and I love it. And, I must know what kind of dog Allie is. She looks almost just like my dog. And, I love that you love your family and love the Lord. That's where true joy is found. Good luck with your recuperation from surgery.

Ames, I finally watched these. To be honest, I never watched the show regularly. I mean I am old enough to remember it but I think it was just a couple years before my time or I was just oblivious to it. Maybe I was too busy watching: Facts of Life, Different Strokes, Gimme a Break, Alf, Growing Pains, just to mention of few. Oh, I did watch Mama's Family. Even as recent as the last couple years. Whenever I'd be in the mood for some brainless funny show, I'd see it on the tv land and look over at Chris and say "can we watch this?" He hated that show and that was okay.

Eunice is funny on show but I think Mama is just as funny...they are a fabulous pair. Makes me want to start watching them. This episode was particularly hilarious with Eunice's "signs" and Mama getting frustrated "with one of those signs again."
