I'm Not Feeling Very Bloggy Today (And Of Course, More Pictures)

I'm not feeling very bloggy today, and my foot is really bothering me. So today, if you need me, I will be on the sofa. And yes, I am still doing all of my stretches each day; Shannon and I are both praying that they will soon start to alleviate the pain and numbness that is still constantly happening in my foot. Allie is acting like she is feeling better, and her appetite has increased, so the vet told us to wait and bring her back in next Saturday. Shannon and I both feel like this is a very positive sign that her new medicines are working. Thank you all for your prayers for both of us.

Since I don't have a "post" really for today, I thought that I would share a slide show that I put together. I made this for Melissa and me, as a memory of our time together. And since we both feel like our journey would make a great comedy movie one day (mostly due to the string of pitiful events that happened to me on the trip, but that is for another post) , I sent this slide show to Melissa on Myspace yesterday, and I told her that I think this would be great to show at the end of our movie as the credits roll. All we need now is a song to play along with it.

So, today, if you feel like it, take a look at the slide show, and if you know of a good "theme song" to go along with it, please leave the name of it in my comments section.

I pray that you all have a lovely weekend, and hopefully I will be feeling bloggy again very soon. I have so much more to share with all of you about the trip, and all of the nonsense that happened to both Melissa and me.

Until then I hope you enjoy these pictures; it's like a little sneak peek into future posts.

..

God gave this verse to me just before leaving on this trip. I carried it with me everywhere that I went. Even on the difficult days, I knew that God was with me.

Isaiah 30:21
Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it."

Woo Hoo!!! I'm the first commentor!! :) This never happens to me because I am on the west coast. Very cool!

Anyway, I'm sorry you are not feeling well Amy. I will keep you in my prayers. I love the pictures of Rome. I can't wait to read your post about that stop.

The song that came to mind as I was watching your slide show was the theme song from Bosom Buddies. I think Billy Joel sings it. I don't know why, it just popped into my mind. :)

Have a great weekend!

God bless,
Gina

Hey, baby girl! I love the slide show! I can't wait to hear of all the trials and tribulations! I'm so glad that Melissa was with you - it shows in both your eyes what a great time you had together.
How about the theme from "One Day at a time?"
Love always
Mom :)
Hope your leg is better today - I just want you to be 100%%%%%! I wish I could do something for you.
I love you!

Great slide show, Amy, with lots of great pics, many that I had not seen. I love the one of you two up close like you were really laughing hard at something. Great red flowers on that bridge thingy.
Hope you are feeling better soon. Glad to hear Allie is.
Luv,
Paula

Wonderful verse, and great slide show also. What fun memories you have of your trip.

Love, Hugs and Blessings my friend,
Nicole

Dear Heavenly Father please be with Amy's foot. Please cause the pain to go away. I pray for some relief. I pray that through this refining period in her life she becomes more like you. May others see you in Her even more so due to her surrendered life to you. We love you Father. In your precious son's name we pray, Amen!

I love this verse, Amy. It holds special meaning in my life as it pertains to my oldest son. A couple of years back, he was going through a rough patch and felt conviction over a particular situation. As we talked about it, he quoted this verse to me, telling me about hearing God's voice but refusing to follow. I can't help but think of his tender confession everytime I hear it.

Love the pics! And the sparkles add some extra "bling".

Even on your most unbloggiest days, you still manage to make people smile, even me with the day I've had. You are such a special person, thanks for being such an inspiration and good example.

Hugs!

Hello, my sweet friend! I'm sorry you are not feeling well today. I hope it helps to know that I threw your name up over the ocean today...it soared, and I know God will answer that prayer soon. In the meantime, do what I do when I'm feeling a little down, and tired, and discouraged or whatever...rent a chick flick and settle in on that sofa! Have a good cry over a sentimental movie and you'll feel a wee bit better. That's my prescription...

This was a good post. I especially love the scripture at the end. I don't know you or Melissa, but it looks like you two have a very strong connection. I mentor a young woman and she adds so much to my life. God is wonderful and gives us people to walk out our lives who will not only learn from us, but add and teach much to us as well. I love how He uses relationships to do his work in each person touched by another.

Hi Amy. I'm a day late and dollar short on blog reading this week but I sure hope you are feeling better now than you were last week when you posted this. I'm so happy that Allie is better! I LOVE the slide show and the theme song I am hearing in my head when I watch it is Holiday Road by Lindsey Buckingham from the Vacation movies. Holiday Ro oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oad, Holiday Ro oh oh oad!

Lots of love and many hugs,
Denise
