Dinner And Thoughts Of Romance (Sigh)

That's right....It's that time again; time for dressing up and posing nonsense followed by a delicious dinner. And on this particular night, there was a little romance on the menu.

Sigh.

Here I am in all of my flat ironed glory. Thanks, Melissa!

May I present to you, Miss Melissa. She was looking lovely as always.

Shameless before dinner photo op.;)

For the starter this night, I decided to order something from the "light" selections. I don't remember what it was called, but here is a picture of it.

I know. It looks like some one ate most of it before it ever made it to the table.

For my "main course", I also chose something from the "light" selections.
It was Pasta with Marinara Sauce.

And thankfully, no one ate any of it before it made it to the table. ;)

Now, I should probably make a little confession to the tens of you reading this right now. The reason that I chose my starter and main course from the "light" selections, is that I already knew what I was ordering for dessert. And it was not from the "light" selections.

It was officially called "Chocolate Melting Cake."
And as you can probably see, it was served with a side of vanilla ice cream to cut help cut the sweet taste.;)

But all of the people at our table affectionately called it "Sex in a Cup." ;)

Excuse me while my eyes roll back in my head and I wipe drool off of my chin just thinking about it.

But "Sex in a Cup" was not the romance that I was referring to at the beginning of this post.

No, the romance on the menu that night was between David and Barbara. They were celebrating their 41st wedding anniversary on this cruise.

Sigh.

Just look at how they look at each other with so much love in their eyes. Melissa and I were thrilled to be able to celebrate such a special occasion with them.

David and Barbara are two of the loveliest people that you could ever hope to meet. Each night, seeing them together, made me long to be back at home with my sweet hubby.

Sigh.

After singing "Happy Anniversary" to the romantic couple, Melissa and I posed for some pictures with our sweet servers.

Here we are with Gusti.

And here we are with Ioan.

Gusti and Ioan made each dinner so much fun. Melissa and I looked forward to seeing them every night.

Well, after a fun filled day in France, followed by a romantic dinner with "Sex in a Cup," Melissa and I were ready to finally get some rest.

And guess what kind of towel animal welcomed us back into our cabin on this particular night?

A sting ray, of course. Pretty cool, isn't it? ;)

When I saw your pic in my reader, I just had to follow. Hot mama! You guys look great and that ship looks just simply beautiful. I would never leave....until I got sea sick, of course. But everything looks so great...the atmosphere, the food, etc.

You guys look beautiful! I'm still green with envy over that whole trip, Amy! I never get tired of hearing about it and seeing your lovely pictures. What an amazing opportunity. They say that memories increase in value over time...shouldn't we invest more in them?

Isn't it encouraging to see couples like David & Barbara still so in love after 41 years?!!

You and Melissa both look so beautiful.

Hummmm, sex in a cup. I've heard of "better than sex cake" but sex in a cup...very interesting. Looks pretty yummy! I would have come home weighing a good 10 pounds more!

I agree with Laura. I never get tired of seeing the beautiful pictures and hearing every detail.

Have a great weekend!
Love,
Valerie

Ah yes!! I must agree with the others. You are one hot momma in these pics. You and Melissa both look great.

So, is that why they called it a selection from the light side?? Because it was more than half gone before you got it?? ;)

Ag Shame! My Skattie!! Look at you and Shannon years down the road?? Aren't you two sweet?? (hope I used that in the right context...and spelled it correctly)

Wow! That sex in a cup looks delish...did you need a cigarette afterwards?? LOL!

I like the ray, very creative.

And your dinner looked so nice, I love me a good pasta and don't even get me started on a desert with chocolate in it, I mean, come one, who would not think of chocolate anything as anything less than, well divine!

So how've you been?

Sorry I have not been good at visitng just lately, this whole process has hit me like a brick and I have been so overwhelmed.

Plus miss P and I have had colds. :o(
