Sixth Stop: Cannes, France~ Part Three

(Just a note: For some reason, Part One of this series of posts in Cannes, France, did not show up in the Google Reader. So, if you missed it, and you would like to see it, just click here. This post has some very pretty pictures. And for Part Two, you can click here.)

The last stop on our tour of France was Eze. Eze is a beautiful, charming little place.

The part we saw was nestled on the side of a mountain. The view was gorgeous.

We went into an old castle that had been converted into a shopping center. All sorts of different shops were scattered all throughout the old castle.

Right as I snapped this picture......the woman that you see just jumped right in the way of my shot. (The nerve....)

Same thing happened here, only this time it was a man who got in my way. Apparently these people did not care that I was trying to take very important pictures to share with the tens of you reading this blog.

Finally, a shot without interruptions. This is a door to one of the shops. Isn't it quaint?

Seeing this old castle made me wonder who lived here long ago? And did they have any idea that one day their home would turn into shops for tourists that get in the way of people's photo shots.

Flowers were growing all through out the castle. They were gorgeous! (As you can see, Melissa did get in the way of this photo too, but that is okay, because I love her.) ;)

I zoomed in so that you could see the flowers more clearly. Aren't they romantic?

Here I am sitting on the wall of a castle in Eze, France. That just sounds made up, doesn't it?

And here is Melissa doing the same thing. Isn't the view wonderful?

Here you can see a church peeking out of the castle walls. The yellow of the church is so striking against the blue sky and all of the surrounding greenery.

Here you can see more of the castle walls, and if you look closely will you see two crosses peeking out of a cemetery on the castle grounds.

Please feel free to completely ignore me in this next picture, but I just cannot help myself. These cars completely crack me up.

Well, that is all I have of our time in France folks, but you know what that means....The next post will be full of more posing and dinner nonsense.;)

Oh, I love the castle pictures.
Those flowers growing right out of the walls are simply beautiful and I love the tree & greenery above the door in that one picture.
The water in the background is so blue. I think I would just have to sit and stare. You got some great pictures....even if people kept getting in your way. ;)

I'm so glad you were able to go with Melissa on this trip of a life time. You will always remember these beautiful sights!

About my ice storm post...yes, I do remember the cracking sounds during the night of the ice falling and tree limbs breaking. It was such an eerie feeling.
We had limbs all over the place and my parents lost their beautiful Bradford Pear in their front yard. It looked like a war zone around here. You're right about the ice being so beautiful, yet so destructive. I just couldn't believe it had been a year.

Have a great Thursday!

How beautiful! I laughed at the people getting themselves into your pictures...my children do that to me. They think that all pictures should include them, so if I am taking a picture of a beautiful sunset, one of their heads will appear in the frame somewhere. LOL

My daugther and I went to France in May. We loved Eze. Did you visit the church at the top of the mountain? (it was incredible) I think I might have enjoyed it more than the Sistine Chapel in Rome. Thank you for sharing your pictures!

God bless,
Gina

The buildings are just charming, and those shop doors are just the quaintest thing I have ever seen.

And that view from the castle where you and Melissa were posing is lovely, you are right.

You know, we had smart cars in SA, but there are absolutely loads here and I always think of you when I see them.

Btw, if you stop by my blog today, there is a little something for you.

Oh Amy, these pictures are simply beautiful. The one of that ocean looks like a post card or something. God really was showing you ALL of His beautiful creations.

And LOL! at those people jumping in front of your shot...but you showed them!! I wouldn't jump in front of someone's shot if I knew they were going to put my big fat ass on their blog post. ;) LMAO!!

What a beautiful town. I didn't go there on our trip, what a shame. The castle and the view, just perfect. Tourists are a pain when you want to take photos.
Great shots all the same.
