My Visit With Shelly, Sugar, And Spice

Columbus Day was a school and work holiday for most, so Shelly asked me if I would like to visit with her and her girls for the day, and also go have lunch with them and her mom.

And since you all know by now how much I love having lunch with Shelly and her mom, you know that I said, "Yes!" I was also very excited for the opportunity to meet Shelly's sweet girls, Sugar and Spice.

Let me introduce you to them both.

This is Sugar....

And this is Spice......

Of course, depending on the day and the mood they are in, the first one could be Spice and the second one could be Sugar. But, for the sake of continuity, I will call the oldest girl Sugar and the youngest girl Spice. Mmmmmkay? ;)

"A little girl is sugar and spice and everything nice - especially when she's taking a nap." ~Author Unknown

(I, of course, don't know this for certain myself, but I've heard stories.)

Here is a picture of me with Sugar and Spice, as well as Sam. Shelly's girls and dog babies loved me very much. They made me feel "WAY" welcomed in their home.

Sigh.

"Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity." ~Albert Einstein

Here is a picture of me and my Shelly. (I love her!)

She loves to sit so comfortably in her favoritest brown chair in the whole world, while she reads her favorite blogs.

This is Shelly's favorite spot in the whole house (with the exception being her bed fit for a queen).

She especially seems to love reading this blog while sitting in her favoritest brown chair. *wink*wink*

I don't know if you noticed this in the previous picture of Shelly sitting in her favoritest brown chair, but there is a table beside her favoritest brown chair, and on that table you will notice Shelly's "equipment." These are all the things that she needs to sit comfortably in her favoritest brown chair while she rules the roost. So to speak.

It's almost as if I can hear her saying as she sits in her favoritest brown chair,
"I have the same goal I've had ever since I was a girl. I want to rule the world." ~Madonna ;)

She has everything she needs right at her fingertips. She has her drink, her latest audio book, her remote control, and last but certainly not least, her paddle. (Between you and me, I don't think she ever really uses it on them, because they are both so sweet, but it is to help keep Sugar and Spice acting like everything nice.)

After the overwhelmingly sweet welcome that I received upon entering their house, Sugar and Spice were eager to take me on a tour of their home.

I, of course, had to pay attention to the littlest babies in the house.
Let me introduce them to you all.

This is Sam. Sam and I were thisclose while I was at Shelly's house.

This is Skittles. Can you guess how he got the name Skittles?

And last, but certainly not least, this is Drake. Drake was as excited to see me as Allie was excited to see Shelly when she came out to my house in the woods of Crazyville. But since Drake was so excited, Shelly put him in his kennel. I think he was harboring a little resentment towards me about the whole situation, because when I went to take his picture, he did this.

I'm so sorry, Drake. I hope that we can still be friends.

Well, after being dissed by Drake, Spice took me into her room, and she demanded asked me to take a picture of her with her jack-o-lantern light.
Isn't she cute?

Then Sugar came in the room, and I snapped this sweet picture of her with this ginormous stuffed animal. It was bigger than she was.

Sugar and Spice gave me the grand tour of their home. They were especially excited to show me the "turtle" room. Shelly loves turtles, so she has one entire room devoted to them. Here is just one small section of her turtle collection.

As Sugar and Spice were showing me around the house, Shelly kept saying, "Please don't pay any attention to the dust on everything."

I told her (like she had once told me), "Shelly, I came to see you, not your dust."

I mean, really, I would never notice anything like that. ;)

"Cleaning your house while your kids are still growing up is like shoveling the walk before it stops snowing." ~Phyllis Diller

Sweet post Amy. Looks like they enjoyed having you there as much as you enjoyed bring there, with the exception of Drake, lol.

It sounds like you had a wonderful time! And it is a true friend that will not mind if you leave them notes in the dust on the television. You could probably write a novel in mine. LOL

While I loved the virtual tour of Sugar and Spice's home, I'd be scared to let you into mine. Oh, the thought of what might be uncovered for all the world to see! Actually, if I ever were blessed with a visit, I'd let your camera in too. What fun to walk this life with so many interesting people.

Thanks for taking me with you on your visit. Isn't so wonderful that you have two blog friends so close. I wish I had that too.

You know we could dust every day and it'd still come back the next, so what's the point, really?!
Love ya,
Paula

It must have been so fun visiting. And us women don't see any dust in any of our freind's houses, we just don't.

The girls look very sweet and the other babies too.

I'm not sure I will have any babies to visit with you when you come to my place, but there will always be Hilmar, Phillipa and I and hopefully no Paul.

The girls and I had a great time on your little visit to our end of Crazyville. We'll have to do it again sometime soon (when I get settled into my NEW corner of Crazyville).

Hope to have my post up sometime soon (need to hurry before my poor memory forgets all the wonderful details of that lovely day. ha!)

Pretty funny how you wrote your name in the dust on your TV and then took a picture of it - as if you actually saw dust at my house. ;) LOL!

Love you!!
Talk to you soon.
