Happy Anniversary, Mom And Dad! (And Another Update On My Mom)

Today I want to take a moment to wish my parents a "Happy Anniversary!" They have been married for 41 long, long years today!;)

Happy Anniversary! I love you both very much!

"It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life." ~Rita Rudner

I wanted to thank you all for your well wishes and prayers for my mom. She came through the surgery very well. We had originally thought that she would be in the hospital for three to five days, but we found out today that she would be there for five to seven days, just depending on how well she does. She is still pretty heavily drugged, but she is doing as well as can be expected. Her vital signs have all been good too, so that is a huge blessing. Bless her heart though, after having so much morphine in her system, she discovered that her "spoon" is hurting. LOL!:) I will be sure to tease her when she is more alert that she may need a "spoon" replacement.;) (I'm just kidding, of course.) I will be going to the hospital each day with my dad (depending on how my back holds up), so I will be catching up on reading all of your blog posts this weekend. My dad's triple bypass surgery was six weeks ago yesterday, and he has done amazingly well at the hospital both days. He is a walking, talking miracle. Thanks so much again for your prayers for my family.
God Bless,
Amy

Happy Anniversary to your parents.
What a blessing to share so many years together.

It's good to hear that your mom is doing well & that your dad is recovery well too.

That's funny about the "spoon." I've been known to say some pretty funny things myself when "out.";)

Take care of yourself!
God bless,
Valerie

So glad to hear your mom is doing ok, but that morphine is a trip! My grandma really tripped out for a while after her knee replacement. I'll be thinking of your sweet parents today, 41 years is really an accomplishment to be admired.
