I don't have to be polished from head to toe in order to cook all day while I run the all you can eat diner.

So, why is it then, when I put clean clothes on, brush my teeth and hair, and apply lipstick that my kids look at me and ask, "Are we going somewhere?"

I remember a couple of years ago when I decided to start wearing makeup again. I thought my kids were going to alert the media. It was quite an event!!
