Are we going somewhere?

Staying home with two kids and a dog all day doesn't require an extensive wardrobe or impeccable grooming habits.

I don't have to be polished from head to toe in order to cook all day while I run the all you can eat diner.

The kids don't care if my clothes match my shoes when I am calling out spelling words.

I certainly don't have to fuss with my hair before taking the dog out to poop use the bathroom.

Although, I think Shannon does appreciate if my teeth are brushed by the time he gets off work for his welcome home smooch!

All this being said, I am a clean person. I do bathe on occasion regularly. I brush my hair most every morning. Living with three "guys" I obviously wear pajamas clothes around the house each day.

So, why is it then, when I put clean clothes on, brush my teeth and hair, and apply lipstick that my kids look at me and ask, "Are we going somewhere?"

I remember a couple of years ago when I decided to start wearing makeup again. I thought my kids were going to alert the media. It was quite an event!!
